The M&S Percy Pig Dessert Sauce hit shelves earlier this year and right now we need as many treats as possible – including the new pink ruby chocolate Magnum (and we’re slowly getting perfect weather ice cream) and Colin the Caterpillar birthday deliveries.
And things are about to get better for anyone who is a Percy Pig fan. One bar in Glasgow created the Percy Pig cocktail earlier this year and it sounds like an actual dream.
Driftwood bar magically made the fruity and sweet drink using the dessert sauce, decorated with candy-floss and – naturally – a Percy Pig sweet. It’s a concoction of pink gin, strawberry vodka and cranberry juice which sounds epic.
So if you find yourself needing a break from the quarantinis, Instagram account @Emmascakesandcocktails has released her own recipe for a DIY Percy Pig cocktail with a twist.
This is what you need:
- 4/5 Strawberries
- 2 Scoops of Vanilla Icecream
- 1 Handful of Ice
- 1 Tablespoon of Percy Pig sauce
- 2 Shots of Tequila Rose
And putting it together is super simple. Just chop the tops off the strawberries and add them, the vanilla ice cream, a handful of ice and the Percy Pig sauce together, plus the Tequila, and whizz it all up in a blender. Add a little of the sauce to the finished beverage and serve with a Percy Pig for an extra touch of sweetness and there you have it.
